Old Town with My Boysies...

Matt had Columbus day off so we headed to one of our favorite places: Old Town! We walked around, bought some cool art, had good Mexican food, and took a few cute pictures of a real cute little guy.

Little James is 10 weeks old today. He had his 2 months doctor appointment on Friday. He's a whopping 13 pounds 10 oz and he's 24 inches long now. He's a glorious little chunk of a baby and just utterly edible! He loves to have conversations with us. He talks and talks and makes the sweetest little sounds and faces. He and I spend pretty much all morning eating, sleeping, and playing- everyday. He's just so delightful and happy and I might die of love...

Matt's parents came to visit for the weekend

Little James is 4 weeks old now and he's just been grinning up a storm lately! He stares at us and grins when we talk to him. It's to die for cute! Matt went back to work today, and when he got home James was so happy to see him! He started cooing all sweetly and he wouldn't stop staring and grinning at his daddy. Matt went out of the room just for a minute and James instantly got this heartbroken curled lip frown, but was happy when he came back. It was so cute! It's so amazing to see him change and grow every day. He's already changed so much since he was born. We are just delighted with our little bundle and love every minute we have with him.

Sweet Baby James

It's late and I can't get these in the right order, but oh well. Meet our little buddy, James! Right before we left for the induction- 41 weeks pregnant!

I have a little baby now!

We're still at the hospital until tomorrow morning and I don't have any pictures on my computer yet but I realized I could let it be known that my little buddy is here and is as beautiful and precious as ever! James Denver Wells was born last night, August 10th, at 8: 47 PM. He weighs 7lbs. 15 oz. and is 21 inches long (the exact size I predicted he would be like 2 months ago!). He is the sweetest and most precious human mankind has ever known. I plan to post pictures and maybe some videos tomorrow when we get home.

My mom and sisters threw me a lovely baby shower a couple weeks ago. It was a lot of fun to see my friends, sisters, aunts, cousins and a bunch of the ladies from my family's ward that I haven't seen in a while. They gave us such adorable little outfits and blankets, and I feel like I got the perfect amount of everything that I'll need in the very beginning. That nesting instinct finally kicked in right after I had my shower! I didn't really care too much about making his bedroom all cute and it seemed more stressful than anything to get the storage room cleared out to become his room, but as soon as I got all these outfits and his bedding, I couldn't wait to get it all ready! Well after a few days of clearing things out and getting things washed, his room and his clothes are all pretty much ready. Now Matt and I go in there all the time and just sit and stare at the crib and all the teensy little socks and onesies and we just can't wait to see him!

Here are just a couple of pictures from the shower. Jessica (Pace Bowers) came down for the shower which I was so happy about! I have a picture of her from the shower but she thinks she looks AWFUL so I'll spare her and not post it. She so does NOT look awful though :)

Ivy and Violet came into town for a couple of days for the shower and one of the days we went to the beach. Violet is too cute!

And since summer time started, we've been getting visitors more often since we're so close to the beach. Baby Lainey a.k.a my mom's foster baby a.k.a. my second cousin a.k.a. my soon-to-be baby sister is one of our favorite visitors :) She's so freaking cute and lovable and she gives us a good baby fix when we're desperate. And of course, the baby belly shots. I'm about 37 1/2 weeks in these two pictures.

I hadn't ever taken a bare belly picture and thought it was about time. Sorry if this is more than you wanted to see :)And that's about it for now. We really want this baby boy to get out so we can hold him and kiss him and play with him! Through all my complaining about how uncomfortable I am and everything, I am really trying to enjoy these last few weeks, though. It's pretty nice going about my life so leisurely right now and I know that this last couple weeks of freedom is an ever fleeting luxury... but still, we can't wait!!! oh and Matt's good too :) Little Buddy and I just love him!
